Shelduck Ruddy Fly Bif Brahminy Bird Flight

“A bird never asks, am I flying correctly”.

~ Mary Anne Radmacher

Listen to the compass of your heart

Follow the beat of your own drum

Stop “shoulding” all over yourself

Trust in yourself and the experience that has brought you here

All you need is within you

Grow into the wonderful being you already are
Q. How many times do we need to hear these messages, until we start to live them?
A. As many as it takes
Tune in

Trust and act

Let go of analyzing fear filled ego mind

Do it

And fly

*Mantra for Today – stepping out of our comfort zone

This mantra is for when you find yourself holding back because you are taking on something new or stepping out of your comfort zone. You may be afraid of how you will be received, or how others will perceive you.

This is my “go to” mantra before having a difficult conversation, meeting new people, or stepping out into the unknown.

Instead of reacting to the fear by withdrawing or becoming tense and protective, this reminds me to open up and embrace the situation instead. It is my favorite!

waiting for courage

overcome fear

Compassion for myself and others. Open my heart to our common humanity. We all get nervous when we face the unknown and stretch ourselves. We are all human beings looking for reassurance and safety.

Curiosity about others. What is important to them? What do they care about? We are unique and interesting human beings, and we all want to be acknowledged and accepted just the way we are.

Connection. We are all human beings looking for love and understanding. Within each of us is a divine spark that already connects us in spirit.

When the heart opens, and the mind lets go, fear disappears.

When we live from this place of love, there is no fear, only connection.

* Haiku – be at peace

inner peace~

Can we be at peace

With ourselves and with others?

Let go of judgments.

Stop contributing

to the rising storm of fear

that comes from the mind.

Let go of the thoughts

that undermine heart and soul.

Find Your Middle Ground.

More now than ever

Connect inwards with the breath.

This is where peace lies.

End the turmoil now

Come home to the peace within

And become the change.

Spirit Lights The Way

A few days ago, a reader sent me The Awakening by Sonny Carroll; it reminded her of my life philosophy.  I agree.

The Awakening describes the spiritual path I’m on . . . the journey that has led me to this moment in time.

by Sonny Carroll

There comes a time in your life when you finally get it . . . when in the midst of all your fears and insanity you stop dead in your tracks and somewhere the voice inside your head cries out ~ ENOUGH! Enough fighting and crying or struggling to hold on.  And, like a child quieting down after a blind tantrum, your sobs begin to subside, you shudder once or twice, you blink back your tears and through a mantle of wet lashes you begin to look at the world from a new perspective.

This is your awakening.

You realize that it is time to stop hoping and waiting for something…

* Yoda Wisdom on Change

Have you ever told yourself that you want to change, but find that your willpower isn’t strong enough. You tell yourself to try harder. Still it doesn’t happen. So you give up hope. Then one day you meet Yoda in the street.

This is what he tells you:

“Often change not easyYoda

Sometimes is …

Accept part within that resists

This also called fear

What we resist will persist

Say hello to resistance

Say hello to fear

Be good friend to them

Invite in for cup of tea

They kept you safe in olden days

But now, you not need

Unknown is what life is about, not known

If change you want, let go

Trust in the force

It is within you”

When You’re Preparing for a Task, Say “You Can Do It,” not “I Can Do It”

Who knew? You can do it!

They have a point … and I personally believe that it also takes us to a space where we feel someone else is cheering us on.

I recall when I was working on getting over my fear of public speaking, the best inspiration for me was picturing my nephew Robbie. He was  aged about 7 at the time and he was saying “You can do it Auntie Val.” Still brings tears to my eyes, opens my heart and melts away the fear. He believed in me and so I believed in myself.
