Haiku – joy in your heart

Joy lies in your heart
Let it grow and transform you
Find Your Middle Ground
~

Joy and gratitude go hand in hand. It may be ignited by certain people, circumstances or memories, but it is already there. The more grateful we are, the more we realize we have enough, and more.

When we pause and take time to be present, we learn to let go of our conditioning and what we  think we “should” be doing. We begin to notice the little things and let them light up our lives.

We step into the fullness of life.

I call this Finding your Middle Ground.

Life brings us hardship
Yet joy can be found within
Find your Middle Ground
~

Find your Middle Ground is about stepping away from stressful days and anxious minds, and taking time to pause.

When we rest in this place,  we are able to let go of judgments and how we wish things should be. We allow ourselves to open up to what is in this moment. And in doing so, connect with our authentic being and life energy. We find contentment no matter what is happening in the highs and lows of life.

I  believe that we can all contribute to world peace. It starts with being kind to ourselves and finding peace within ourselves. Helping others is a good place to start, but the real work is ours to do for ourselves. We must find that peaceful, nourishing and inspiring place I call our Middle Ground.

Mooji Inspiration – Mind Play

Don’t be in front of the mind. Be behind the mind.
Then you can observe the mind—if you even care to.
As soon as it becomes clear to you that you are outside the bubble of the mind play,
you are immediately in a different atmosphere.
You are in the atmosphere of the Self and far too joyful to be bothered by as small a thing as the mind.*

~ Mooji

Its good to be in the company of Mooji, with his lightheartedness and joy for life. What a wonderful reminder to not take ourselves so seriously, especially the bubble of mind play.

Go burst a few thought bubbles today!

What joy to be here

No matter what the season

Find your Middle Ground

This photo makes my heart sing! Spring is full of bursting energy and anticipation for the change ahead. What a wonderful feeling after the hibernation of winter.
It takes me back to walks in Scottish woods as a child, small dogs and fields of bulbs.

No matter what the season, we can all pause and find this place of gratitude and love within us all.

Inspiration – Your Joy is too Small

I came across these words from one of my earlier posts. It really resonated. Time to break out in celebration of nature and Existence. No event required. xo

Joy Is Big

Your joy is too small, caged by the jailor of your thoughts.

It lives in the land beyond Infinity and is big beyond measure.

It teaches each tree to dance her own private blissful dance with the wind.

It is what the moon sings every night, holding us as we sleep with her streaming light-song.

Joy lives in your own drunken electrons, billions of them, spinning and dancing without end in their own intimate Universe, longing for You.

Do not look for joy anywhere else.

It is living in you, and gives meaning to all Existence.

Turn your heart’s eyes inward right now, and let them gaze in awe at the immensity

Inspiration – The Body is Like the Ocean

white should swans

The body is like the ocean, rich with hidden treasures.
Open your innermost chamber
And light it’s lamp.
Within the body are gardens,
Rare flowers, peacocks, the inner music,
Within the body, a lake of bliss.
On it, the white soul-swans take their joy.

~ Mirabai

So often we forget all the beauty that lies within us all.

Be gentle with your body today.
It is a precious vessel.

Honor the deepest part of you.
Touch the beauty and love that is there.

* Tao Inspiration ☯ – Follow the Current

River of Life

River Of Life by Heather Hennick

Tao is the unknowable fundamental of the universe.

Follow its current,

And it is the source of joy and wonder.

Fight against it,

And it is merely a refuge.

Eloquent words and admirable deeds yield profit,

But those lacking such things, do they not come from Tao as well?

Your greatest gift is to be a conduit for Tao.*

~ Lao Tzu

The last line really resonated today. To be a conduit of the goodness and wholeness of our very nature would be the best gift for all of us to share.
