* With Open Arms

What a wonderful reminder from Dennis over at Merging Traffic.

Again and again,
day after day,
choose to extend
your arms and open
your heart, releasing
streams of compassion
far beyond the small,
limited self into the awesome,
astounding universe that shimmers
and thrives on Love.

    It has just struck me that the people I most need to forgive and be compassionate towards are the three managers at the nursing home. I have been able to do this with two of them and we are now exchanging friendly hellos but the most senior woman is the one with whom I have been at loggerheads with. I hated her guts for humiliating me and unfairly accusing me of stuff and forcing me to resign, and then I hated her for making it so difficult to continue visiting people other than Anthony in the nursing home. But now that I have won that latter battle of wits, I think the best way forward would be to simply be friendly to her. This isn’t going to be easy as she is a very unfriendly person. Wish me luck and thanks again for your inspiring and encouraging posts!

    I needed this, feeling some self-centered fear around health, and now realizing/remembering I can radiate those streams of compassion!
