From the moment we are old enough to listen, we receive instructions to improve our aim, buy better arrows, refine the grip of fingers on bow string. Think of the irony. Here we sit within the bull's eye, aiming at externals. The good news is that every practice done with love and focus eventually reveals the insanity of targeting a distant goal. By then we've grown so used to holding the bow, drawing the string back with just the right amount of force, that its hard to put the arrow down and just be present in the bull's eye. ~ Danna Faulds. An other beautiful reminder from Danna Faulds to take our attention away from targeting external goals and make time to step away.
With a shift in focus, along with compassion and love, we find satisfaction and joy within.
