This morning I woke up and decided I will have a day where I am curious.

People who are curious tend to:

  • Engage more in the world and tune into the environment
  • Turn everyday tasks into interesting and find the extraordinary in the ordinary
  • Think from a place of possibilities and openness
  • Have closer relationships with others because we are interested in learning about them
  • Intuitively know that curiosity leads to passion and meaning
  • Seek to learn and build knowledge … and are open to what we don’t know
  •  Play well and add a sense of playfulness to what we are doing
  • Embrace uncertainty and rediscover the pleasure of surprise
  • Be happy with life

To be curious we must pause in the moment.

No longer skipping and skimming our lives into the future or letting ourselves be stuck in the mud of the past.

To be curious brings us to our Middle Ground and we flourish here. It awakens creativity, gratitude and our inner Presence. It is the gateway to transforming all parts of our lives and awakening our spirit.

Why not join me in seeing how curious you can be today? We might surprise ourselves and each other!

  3. My mother called it being nosey. I was always asking too many questions they didn’t want to answer. 🙂 Today, my daughter and I are going to sit in different cars and see how they feel. It’s an odd way to shop for a newer one for her but the car has to feel right first. Then it has to run well. 😉 I’m a very curious person as my bookshelves would verify. My motto is learn something new everyday or close the lid. Yesterday was a stunner! Thanks for reminding me that curious is a good thing.

    • This is terrific Marlene! Being nosy is about getting into other people’s business and judging them in comparison with ourselves.
Its usually connected to how we continually judge ourselves and then bring that to how we relate to others.
Curiosity is freeing. We come from a place of interest and being open to different perspectives.
It goes beyond other people. It’s about being open to all that is unfolding.
Keep being open to the learning and the life lessons that go beyond our conditioning ❣️

  5. In survivor personality, curiosity was one of the traits that helped people survive the death camps, the rugby team in the Andes and prisoners of war.

How you used your mind, determined life and death, survival.

    Nice Val

  16. I think of myself as a curious person, Val. What I like about your introduction is that you said you woke up and “decided” to follow curiosity. You made the choice, and that’s what most encourages me to think about how I will proceed into a new week. I love that! 🙂
