Merging breath with stretch.
Mind, body, prana, spirit.
Middle Ground yoga
~
Find your Middle Ground is about stepping away from stressful days and anxious minds, and taking time to pause.
When we are mindful of the present moment and embrace it, we open a door to our natural state of being – accepting, loving, peaceful, kind and content. Most of us are so distracted and moving so fast that we get caught up in the world of “doing” or worrying about what we should be doing next.
Too much doing and thinking disconnects us from our sense of “being”and who we really are.
I found my own Middle Ground when I began practicing yoga and meditation. Now I teach Mindful and Gentle Hatha in the tradition of Kripalu Yoga. This is what I love to share with my students and client every day

I think dear Val every time I come to visit your blog, ( It looks different by the way, Have you change theme or layout? since I last landed upon its shores for real not in the reader lol )..
I always find peace and my breathing becomes deeper and more content as I leave.. Thank you for delivering me your yoga via the ether..
😁😍💖

Thank you Val. I don’t have so many possibilities here to choose between. We have ordinary yoga and strong yoga in different places. I haven’t seen anything about gentle yoga, which will be necessary because of damages in my body.

Love your haiku(s), Val. I wish I’d have a class available here for “before beginners” 🙂

Thanks Helen! Actually, all of the peeps in this class were tentative (tense and distracted) beginners…. and have come a long way in understanding their bodies and trusting in the opening and movement of Prana. May you find a nourishing practice for you 💕

Thank you for sharing this. I’m about to start practicing yoga. Do you have any tips for a beginner? 💗

Thank you Lucy! I would suggest that you find a beginners class, or at least a gentle yoga class first. There are so many yoga classes out there, and some are very challenging to jump right into. 💛

I’ve started doing yoga daily instead of weekly and am so pleased with the subtle energy shifts and awareness. Physical and mental blended into an expanded whole. Love it!

Good for you Eliza … it truly is. 💕 What a difference in the energy of body and mind, and how enriching fro the spirit. I tell my studnets to practice at least 3 times a week to feel the shift!

This doesn’t sound very ‘yogic’ of me, but I’m really jealous of your students. ;–0
