life in balance

Whenever you come across a difficult situation,
or encounter a difficult person,
or find yourself in a difficult yoga pose …..
Pause and bring awareness inwards.

Notice rigid thinking or tense feelings
Contraction in your body or around your heart.

Take a full breath in and a long full exhale of release.
Let softness flow through the whole of your being.

Nourishing and restoring
Life in balance

  1. Your description of the breathe sounds very much like the method I use to relax my tense muscles when in pain, Val.

(and I love that image you’ve used in this post).

  6. What timing for this piece. I’ve been tense, stressed, and anxious most of this week, and today I’m trying my best to rein it all in so I can relax and focus more on the things within my control than the things I can’t control. This poem (because it feels like a poem to me) is so helpful in relaxing and releasing. I’m following its instructions right now. 🙂

    Thank you, Val.

  17. That’s nice Val, I do take that long breath every time I remember. Yes it does gives a refreshing feeling, rather energizes the whole body.
    Thanks for this.

  18. Nourishing and restoring are certainly key elements to find balance… I find that some inner work, even if it entails certain “isolation” might help me a lot!… Excellent poem, dear Val… Have a beautiful weekend. Sending love! 😀 😉

Lately, I have come across some tough obstacles in my life. Taking a deep breath and not just going right at it has been very difficult. I believe that the deep breath in situations is very important. It really calms you down and restarts your mind so you can start over and figure out a way to handle what is going on.

    • Keep bringing yourself back to the breath and the present moment…. the emotions will move as all energy does. You are doing such good work for yourself Jade Marie 💛
