Light beyond the dark
Forever thrives in nature
And shines in us all
~

Find your Middle Ground is about stepping away from stressful days and anxious minds, and taking time to connect to the light that shines within us.

When we are mindful of the present moment and simply allow it to be, we open a door to our natural state of being – accepting, loving, peaceful, kind and content. Most of us are so distracted and moving so fast that we get caught up in the world of “doing” or worrying about what we should be doing next.
Too much doing and thinking disconnects us from our sense of “being”and who we really are.

I write about finding this place of connection, contentment and peace in the highs and lows of life. I call it our Middle Ground.

  1. It is important to step free of the fierce franticness of our lives. Or else we become overwhelmed by the urgent and loose sight of the important

We are apart of both moon and sun always spinning in a celestial harmony.

  3. Thanks for sharing the “weird things happen…” link in your last post, Val. It gave us a number of things to think about and look for during the eclipse–beyond just the amazing phenomenon in the sky. It was a hit with all our neighbors, too!

  4. We have annual passes to Kennedy Space Center . . . so we went yesterday for the Solar Eclipse Day festivities.

The most amazing thing to me was how much cooler it was when the eclipse was at its peak (about 83% coverage by the moon) ~> the temperature dropped from the 90’s into the 80’s. Aah . . . that’s better!

  5. So true. Materialistic distractions are a big concern for many of us, and we do realize it too…that just we chose not to accept it and work on the root cause.

Have a blessed rest of your life, Val 🙂

  6. Funnily enough, I just wrote an article this weekend expressing a similar vein of thought, but using gardening (no surprise there 🙂 ) to make our way to our middle ground. GMTA. 😉

  8. The eclipse was a great time for America to stop for a bit, get thrown out of the day-today grind and be present. It’s good to be pointed out! Thanks Val!!!
