Compassion Connection Inspirations middle ground Purpose of Life

“What is my purpose in life?”

The answer is simple…

My thanks go to Lou over at Zen Flash 💛

Zen Flash

“What is my purpose in life?” I asked the void. “What if I told you that you fulfilled it when you took an extra hour to talk to that kid about his life?” said the voice. “Or when you paid for that young couple in that restaurant? Or when you saved that dog in traffic? Or when you tied your father’s shoes for him?”

“Your problem is that you equate purpose with goal-based achievement. God or the Universe or morality isn’t interested in your achievements… just your heart. When you choose to act out of kindness, compassion and love, you are already aligned with your true purpose. No need to look any further.”

  2. So well explained but so much easier to read here. The print on your blog is easier to read than the original. 🙂 I’ve figured out that even though I don’t do anything especially well, I get to be the appreciator and encourager of others that do. If everyone could paint or sew equally well, who would be here to appreciate their talents? Or to say thank you, can you teach me some of what you know? It’s not a dramatic thing, just a little thing that can mean a lot to someone who needs it. Have a lovely exciting day. 🙂

    • Marlene, you are what the world needs! Thank you for being here.
I have difficulty with dark backgrounds too 😉

      • Thank you, Val. I have always had limited vision so I picked a theme where I could make the print large and clear. I still type in word at a 16 pt. font first. There are many blogs I just can’t read because as pretty as they appear, it’s too much of a struggle. I’m sure I’m not alone in this. Have a great weekend.

  7. Perfect. And it usually manifests in small ways, not large ones. 💖

  8. I love this Val. Our heart is touched and we feel good inside when we have been able to help someone in some way – so simple really. We are made to love one another.
